The
YMCA Foundation of Middle Tennessee Wealth Management Series is designed to generate interest in estate planning by helping attendees to better understand various gift-planning vehicles. Through careful planning, monies that would normally go to the IRS can be redirected to provide future security for loved ones and funding for a giver's preferred charities.
This year we will be branching out to various centers to generate interest. Three seminars in March will address converting IRAs to ROTH IRAs.

Do you frequently start a workout routine only to stop? Do you snack when you are bored or upset? Have you planned exercise into your schedule only to see it get crowded out again and again by work or home responsibilities? Do you feel chronically dissatisfied with your weight or overall appearance?
Unfortunately, many of us can answer "yes" to one or more of these questions. When this is the case, it could be a sign of deeper emotional barriers that are blocking your path to a healthier lifestyle.

It's your Y, so tell us your story!
Every day at the Y, members like you inspire us with the remarkable things you are doing to grow stronger in spirit, mind and body-and we want the rest of the world to know about it!
The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is currently looking for members willing to share their YMCA success stories.
Don't think you have a story to tell? Think again. No story is too insignificant if it inspires just one other person to follow the same path to better health and well-being.

Unless you're a contestant on The Biggest Loser, body weight is one of the least important ways for you to judge how you're progressing with your workouts. We asked Harriet Shirley, wellness director at the Green Hills Family YMCA, to give us five better ways to track the success of your health or fitness plan.
Body Composition
Body composition is simply a measurement of how a person's overall body mass is composed -- fat versus the other stuff we're carrying around (lean muscle, bones, organs, etc.)
